Shan Nihari Spice Mix 60g

Nihari is the slow-cooked meat stew of Mughlai cuisine – tender meat in a velvety, rich sauce left to simmer until the flavours meld. Shan's mix brings chilli, black cumin, anise, fennel, cardamom and ginger for a warm, deep flavour, perfect on a cold autumn evening.

How to enjoy it:

• Cooking: Fry the spice mix with the meat to build a rich, spicy base.
• Slow cooking: Add water and simmer slowly until the meat falls apart.
• Meat: Ideal with beef shin, chuck or lamb shoulder.
• Serving: Top with ginger, green chilli, lemon and coriander and serve with naan.
