How is Tarhana used?

Tarhana is a traditional spicy soup common in Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries. Tarhana consists of a fermented mixture of plain yogurt, flour and vegetables as a broth in soups. It is boiled in water or milk and flavored with vegetables and herbs. Tarhana is prepared by mixing the desired amount of crumbled tarhana with boiling water, milk, butter and spices and letting it cook on low heat.

Beetroot soup Barszcz

Barszcz, also known as borscht, is a clear soup made from beetroot, which gives it its characteristic red colour. Barszcz is a national Slavic dish that is very popular in Eastern Europe and comes in several local variations. In Poland, barszcz is mainly eaten as a starter on Christmas Eve. Serve with crème fraiche or sour cream and a piece of bread to enhance the taste of this amazing soup!
