P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal - Gluten Free 1kg

P.A.N. is the classic pre-cooked corn meal from Venezuela – the base for arepas, empanadas and hallacas. The yellow variety gives arepas a warm golden colour and a slightly fuller corn flavour. Because the flour is pre-cooked, you simply mix it with water and salt, shape and cook.

How to use it:

• Arepas: Mix flour, lukewarm water and salt, shape into round cakes and fry or grill. Fill with cheese, beans, meat or avocado.
• Empanadas: Roll out the dough, fill and deep-fry into crispy corn empanadas.
• Hallacas and bollos: Use in traditional festive dishes from Venezuela and Colombia.
• Tip: Let the dough rest for a few minutes before shaping.
