TRS whole garam masala is a blend of whole spices – coriander, cumin, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel, cloves, aniseed and nutmeg. Garam means warm, but it refers to a warming fragrance, not heat. Toast lightly in a dry pan and grind for a deep, complex aroma.

How to enjoy it:

  • Toast and grind: Toast in a dry pan, grind and use straight away.
  • Curries and stews: Adds depth to chicken, lamb and vegetable stews.
  • Biryani and pulao: Cook whole spices with the rice for a lovely fragrance.
  • Marinades: Grind and mix with yoghurt, garlic and ginger.
