Shan Butter Chicken Spice Mix 50g

Butter chicken, murgh makhani, is the creamy favourite with pieces of chicken in a smooth, mild tomato sauce. Shan's mix of green and black cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and white pepper brings warm, rounded spice – you add butter and cream for the velvety sauce.

How to enjoy it:

• Marinade: Mix the spice mix with yoghurt and let the chicken soak it up.
• Cooking: Fry the chicken and simmer in tomato with butter and cream.
• Serving: With naan bread or basmati rice.
• Tip: Top with fresh coriander and a swirl of cream.
