Lijjat Papad Cumin 200g

Lijjat papad has been hand-rolled and dried by a women's cooperative since 1959, following the same recipe as back then. Papad, or poppadom, is a thin, crispy lentil wafer made from urad dal – the essential side for Indian food. The classic version is seasoned with whole cumin seeds.

How to enjoy it:

• Grill: Toast the poppadom directly over a gas flame or under the grill for a few seconds per side.
• Microwave: Heat one papad for approx. 40–60 seconds until it bubbles and turns crisp.
• Deep-fry: A few seconds in hot oil – it puffs up instantly.
• Serving: With curry and dal, or topped with onion, tomato and chutney as masala papad.

Ingredients: urad dal (lentils), salt, cumin seeds, papadkhar (alkaline salt), vegetable oil, asafoetida (wheat)

May contain traces of peanuts, sesame, mustard and tree nuts.
