Heera saffron threads are whole, ruby-red strands with an intense, floral aroma and a subtle honeyed bitterness. Just a few threads give bakes, rice and desserts a deep golden colour and a luxurious flavour – a must for festive baking.

How to enjoy it:

• Festive baking: Saffron buns, saffron cake and Lucia buns with a bright yellow colour.
• Rice: Paella, risotto milanese, pilaf and biryani.
• Desserts and tea: Kheer, panna cotta and saffron tea with cardamom.
• Tip: Grind the threads with a pinch of sugar and steep in warm milk or water for 15–20 minutes before use.
