Amer Rosehip Tea – Fruit Tea with Rosehip, Hibiscus and Wild Apple

Rosehip tea is one of the most classic and beloved fruit teas in Serbia and the Balkan region – an aromatic, naturally sweet tea that combines the best of wild rosehip fruit with the deep ruby colour of hibiscus flowers and the mild fruitiness of wild apple. The Amer herb (Amaranthus blitoides) is added for its traditional role as a strengthening herb in regional folk medicine.

The tea is naturally rich in vitamin C and antioxidants from rosehip and hibiscus – traditionally recommended as a warming drink for colds and coughs, and as a daily wellness tea during the colder months.

Composition:

• Rosehip fruit flesh 50%
• Hibiscus flower 30%
• Wild apple 10%
• Amer herb (Amaranthus blitoides) 10%

Brewing instructions:

• Place one tea bag in a cup or glass
• Pour over 150–200 ml of boiling water
• Steep for 5 minutes
• Remove the bag — never boil the bag directly in water
• Sweeten to taste with honey or sugar
