Caykur Altinbas is made from the very youngest tea leaves and the bud – "two leaves and a bud" – giving a rich, distinctive flavour. The tea comes in a practical tin that protects the leaves from light and moisture, so they stay fresh for longer. A lovely choice as a gift.

How to enjoy it:

Çaydanlık: Brew strong tea in the upper pot and dilute with hot water from the lower one.
Tulip glasses: Serve clear and reddish-brown in small glasses with sugar cubes.
Breakfast: The natural drink with cheese, olives, eggs and simit.
Brewing: 1–2 tbsp tea per half litre of water, leave to brew over low heat for 10–15 minutes.
