Salep, also known as sahlep or sahlab, is a classic winter drink from the Middle East with a rich, creamy texture. Ulas salep has a sweet flavour with notes of vanilla and cinnamon and is easy to prepare – a warm, comforting cup on a cold winter's day.

How to enjoy it:

Winter drink: Stir the powder into hot water or milk as directed on the pack.
Topping: Sprinkle with cinnamon, chopped pistachios or coconut.
Dessert: Use to flavour puddings and bakes.
Serving: Drink piping hot from a cup or glass.
